Missouri Baptist Children's Home

MBCH Corporate Structure

The MBCH Family of Corporations consists of Missouri Baptist Children’s Home and its affiliate corporations: MBCH Foundation, MBCH Children and Family Ministries, MBCH Properties and The LIGHT House.

Missouri Baptist Children’s Home is the parent corporation and is governed by a Board of Trustees which is elected by the Missouri Baptist Convention. This corporation provides the overall direction of the finances, administration and ministries of the total agency. The Board of Trustees of Missouri Baptist Children’s Home serves as the Corporate Member of The MBCH Foundation, MBCH Children and Family Ministries and MBCH Properties and has the responsibility of approving the budgets and Board members for those affiliate corporations.

The MBCH Foundation has the fundraising responsibilities for the corporate family and owns/manages the endowment of the agency. The MBCH Foundation (and all other affiliates) is governed by a Board of Trustees which is elected by the affiliate and approved by the Board of Missouri Baptist Children’s Home.

MBCH Children and Family Ministries (MBCH CFM) is the program services affiliate of the agency. All services and ministries of the agency that directly impact children, youth and families are managed by MBCH CFM. In 2014, The LIGHT House in Kansas City became an affiliate of MBCH Children and Family Ministries.

MBCH Properties owns all of the campuses where MBCH Children and Families provides services as well as the Springfield regional office building. These facilities are leased to MBCH CFM.
