It's Time For Me to Start Fighting for Myself

“They looked at a lot of Transitional Living Programs for me and I found MBCH. I did an interview and a walk through and loved it. When I came, it did not seem hard. I was on my last semester of high school. Everything was going good until my grades started dropping, I was getting in trouble at school, I started getting suspended. As a result of these actions I wasn’t able to finish school on time. I got a job until I got in a relationship with this boy and it added more stress on me. I figured he wasn’t the problem until I lost everything; my job, friends, my relationship with my mom, mostly I lost myself. I was getting help from my staff at MBCH, I just didn’t want to listen. They were fighting for me. Now I it was time for me to start fighting for myself. I have come a long way. I am no longer in the relationship which is a blessing, I am on the verge of graduation, and I had an interview for a job. I know how to do better, I just never wanted to do better. I am not saying I am going to be on the straight and narrow all the time because everyone has a slip up every now and then but I can do better!” (Written by a client)
