The following Essential Trainings will be offered at Union Hill Baptist Church in Holts Summit, Mo.

  • Stewards of Children: EVERY leader, parent, grandparent, workers with children and youth should take this valuable and powerful training session that teaches the five steps to keeping children and youth safe from sexual abuse. You will also hear testimonies from adults who have suffered sexual abuse and experts in the field of its impact. This is designed for parents, grandparents, children and youth workers and anyone who has any contact with children and youth. All attendees will go through this training session.

Optional Breakout Choices:

  • The Churches Response to Domestic Violence:
Did you know that 1 in 5 women in our churches today have been or are being abused? Domestic Violence is a larger problem than most realize. This training session will teach the signs and types of abuse and ways to respond appropriately.
  • Getting Through What You’re Going Through:
This impactful training will share important information on how to deal with and/or minister to others going through life’s unexpected challenges. It could be a death, loss of a job, divorce, financial difficulties, and many other difficult issues we all have in just doing life. We will learn valuable information through the six stages of Shock, Sorrow, Struggle, Surrender, Sanctification and Service.
  • Pornography is not a Harmless Activity:
It is no secret that pornography has become main stream entertainment in our society. And who exactly is watching it? The reality is that pornography’s harmful effects are no longer a mystery. New issues and causes from the effects of pornography are continuing to be discovered. The science and research has been out for many years now and thousands of people have spoken out on how pornography has negatively impacted their lives and relationships.
  • Conflict Management:
It’s been said that there are two certainties in life, death and taxes. We might also add to that conflict. The scriptures are very clear, right down to Steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 of how to deal with conflict. In this class we will look at how to respond scripturally to conflict.
