A Different Summer

We are finishing up a school year that has been disrupted with children and parents having to make adjustments and adapt their lifestyles.  No matter what your thinking might be on the rationale for the COVID-19 pandemic, our lives have been impacted.  It appears this is going to continue into the summer as some locations in our state are urging continuing caution while others are working to get back to a sense of "normalcy."  The potential for schools opening up in the fall is up in the air right now.

This kind of uncertainty and, perhaps for some, the sense that we have lost control, is traumatic and difficult for all of us.  Especially impacted are those in our society who are more vulnerable, particularly our children.

Even though summer plans are up in the air and uncertainty continues, I am so proud of the staff of Missouri Baptist Children's Home and its affiliates for continuing to serve like champions and heroes.  Each one makes us proud and certainly honors our God.  And I know that will continue to be the case as we enter a summer season that will be different.

But even though summer will be different and no matter the challenges, MBCH continues to minister to children, youth, adults, and families to make a lasting difference in their lives.  That has not changed and nor will it.

What else that has not changed is our need for your continuing prayers and your faithful support.  Some of our fundraising activites have had to be cancelled or postponed.  Our MBCH Foundation regional representatives are impacted in being able to meet with donors and prospects, to make presentations in churches, and to tell our story.

The needs of our children, youth, adults, and families are greater than ever.  I ask for your continuing prayers and faithful support as we join hands together in serving God by responding to the needs of children, youth, and families to make a lasting difference in their lives.  You will find on this website a list of prayer concerns and ways in which you can give.

Thank you for your parnership with us.  We are truly grateful for you.
