Church Engagement Team Update
Several months ago we introduced our “Church Engagement” iniative. This is an effort to work more directly with the churches in our State to help meet the needs of children and families in their communities. The Church Engagement Team is working on ways we can collaborate to care for at-risk children and families so they may never need the direct ministries of MBCH.
We have had some exciting developments related to Church Engagement in the past few weeks.
There are now four short videos on our website under the MBCH Moments video gallery tab. Check these out and see what a practical tool these will be for parents as well as those working with children and youth. There will be more videos in production soon.
STARS (foster parent training) has been completed at Praise Assembly in Springfield. Foster parents are now in the final stages of preparation for licensing.
To meet the need for additional foster families in the area, we have the potential of offering a foster parent training at The Church of Living Water in Warsaw.
In order to anticipate and prepare to provide the services that churches need to assist children and families, the Church Engagement Team has finalized a survey we would like for you to take. The survey can be found on page 23 of this issue of The Messenger and on our website. Please give us feedback on what you think would benefit your church and community.
