     The MBCH Professional Development Institute is committed to providing quality professional growth and training in child care and family care ministries.  The MBCH Professional Development Institute also does business as the MBCH Learning Center.

     Workshops start at the time specified. Attendees must be on time. The Presenters do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the MBCH Professional Development Institute.

Werner Strick Workshop Series

     The workshop series is named in honor of Pastor Werner Strick, who was a founding board member of the MBCH Professional Development Institute. Pastor Strick served on the board of Missouri Baptist Children’s Home for more than 30 years. In February 2007, Pastor Stick passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer.

     We would like to salute Pastor Strick for his vision, dedication and ongoing support.

Continuing Education

     Many of the workshops offered by the MBCH Professional Development Institute provide educational contact hours for licensed and certified professionals. A $10 fee is charged for contact hours. Be sure to note approval granted or pending for each event on the Course Description page.

     Participants who complete specified workshops earn Social Work Continuing Education Units issued from Washington University, George Warren Brown School of Social Work for both the state of Missouri and Illinois. The MBCH Professional Development Institute is also approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors to give continuing education activities for National Certified Counselors. We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines.
