Transitional Living
The Transitional
Living Program provides residential care for girls age 16-21 and
scattered-site housing for boys and girls ages 16-21 who are on the
road to independence. These programs are designed to equip older youth
with the skills they need to successfully transition from adolescence
to young adulthood. The group home Transitional Living Program is
located on the Hutchens Campus in Mt. Vernon and the scattered sites
are located both in Mt. Vernon and Springfield. The scattered-site
program provides housing with limited supervision while training the
youth to utilize public transportation and a wide-array of community
services.
As with all programs of MBCH
Children and Family Ministries, Spiritual Development is emphasized.
All staff are dedicated Christians who actively share their faith
without being judgmental. Bible-based devotions are an important
element of daily activities and the young ladies are encouraged to
become involved in a local church.
