Crisis Care

The Pillsbury Crisis Care Center on the Lowe-Frillman
Campus provides emergency
shelter for children in crisis situations. This Center offers the safe, stable, loving environment children need
when they face the very frightening prospect of being removed from
their homes, even if it is temporary. The Center cares for
school-age boys and girls, with an emphasis on children age 6-14, for
a maximum of 30 days. This provides time for developing long-term,
permanent plans to deal with the existing problems.
During their stay, the children’s
physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met as they try to work
through the issues they face. The goal of the Pillsbury Crisis Care
Center is to work with the families to promote healing and
reunification of the children with their families where possible.
Children in the Crisis Care program go to an on-campus school. The
Center is housed in the new state-of-the-art Joyce and Carol Pillsbury
Crisis Care Building.
