Will You Help Care for Children Like Me?

“Please
don't take my needs lightly.
I need to know someone cares.”

Dear Friend,
Those who know me well, know that I don’t need much sleep. And that
is a good thing, because I am finding it increasingly difficult to
sleep deeply. The faces of hurting children keep flashing across my
mind.
I can’t help thinking about the 10-year-old girl whose father sold
her to men for sexual favors in order to support his drug habit. I
remember the six siblings who were found abandoned in a small
rat-infested hovel with little food and no air conditioning in the
heat of the summer. My mind keeps going back to the pregnant
15-year-old girl whose mother dumped her on the street when she
refused to have an abortion.
If I allowed myself to dwell on the circumstances of these
children, I could easily become overwhelmed with sadness and grief.
Fortunately, I know the rest of the story.
Hundreds of children like these have received the help, hope and
love they needed through Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. Their
fragile lives have been mended because our Christian staff believe
they are called by God to serve Him by caring for "the least of
these."
Please. Will you help me care for just one of these children?
Would you send a special donation today to help save a young
life? If you have already given this year, please consider an
additional gift. If you have not yet made your "annual" contribution,
please do so today and increase it if at all possible. And if you have
never helped financially to care for the hurting, abused children in
Missouri, would you please help them today?
The need has never been more urgent. More children
every year are cared for through the programs and services of MBCH
Children and Family Ministries. Your gift will make a difference in
the life of a hurting child.
I am praying that you will send a gift to help the hurting,
troubled boys and girls at Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. Your
donation will enable us to continue giving these children the care and
guidance they need. Please – we are counting on your support to help
us through this tough financial time. Without you, I don’t know where
our children will turn!
For whatever you can do to help give these boys and girls the care
they deserve – thank you! I am praying that God will richly bless you
for your kindness and generosity to His children.
