Biographical Sketch
Dan Leeman
joined the MBCH Foundation staff as a consultant in August, 2006. He
lives in St. Louis and serves the Foundation as General Counsel for
Estate Design. He works with the Development Officers as they help
donors of the Children’s Home with their charitable financial and
estate plans.
Dan is a licensed attorney (Arkansas and Texas)
whose more than 30 years of experience in wills, trusts, estates,
taxes (income, gift and estate) and investments provides a wealth of
information to MBCH contributors. He has served as the CEO/President
or Executive Director of the benefits departments for two nation-wide
employee groups of up to 32,000 employees -- the Boy Scouts of America
and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. He also helped grow a
retirement fund from $2 billion to $3 billion over 9 years.
Dan also has a a wealth of experience in
confidential meetings in the homes and offices of thousands of
individuals to help them -- through their personal attorneys and tax
advisors -- to maximize the use of estate assets for themselves,
family and God. Increasing income, reducing taxes and doing double
duty with assets is at the heart of what Dan provides to the friends
of Missouri Baptist Children’s Home.
Dan's family lives in St. Louis and includes 2
Eagle Scout sons and a daughter who is an RN in neo-natal care for
premature infants. |
